WanakaWanaka, sheltered behind the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand, is the ideal holiday destination. Many of the most popular activities in Wanaka involve the beautiful lake. While the pace of life here is far more sedate and less huried than in Queenstown, Wanaka features many of the same high adrenalin activities and adventures. So if you want to do your paragliding, jetboating or rap jumping in a more quiet and secluded atmosphere, Wanaka might just be the place.
